Hey everyone, here's some great info about some killer cheese, meat, butter and eggs from a local (Western Washington) farm called Montiellet Fromagerie. If you love good food and want to support local, sustainable food systems, this is the way to do it. Also, Ms. Jackie is sweet as sugar and everyone should support that. 🙂

I wanted to give you a heads up that Montiellet Fromagerie (the place where I make cheese in Dayton, WA), will be making a run to Seattle in about two weeks. At this time, in addition to our cheeses, we have pastured whole goats and lambs for sale, as well as whey-and-veg fed pork. Whole animals are $6/lb, plus a $35 butcher fee. If you want certain cuts, I believe that it is $6.50/lb (for cut and wrap). It looks like our goats are dressing out at 25-35 pounds (they are yearlings), and the lambs are quite a bit smaller (they are 3 months). All of our meat is organic, pastured, hormone-antibiotic-chemical free, and super yummy. Plus, you know, I helped raise them, so they must be good!
We also have homemade cow's milk butter, and really-truly free-range chicken and duck eggs (chicken $5/dz, duck $10/dz). The eggs are saffron colored and are the most amazing thing I've ever tasted. Really.
This will just be our first run through Seattle, we will try to make a monthly or every two-month run throughout the summer to get you all our products.
